Homeless People their problem, work, government yojana’s, effect!!

 Homeless People are those who does not have land to stay, basic necessity to live, money to purchase, well structured environment in terms of education, food and work labor. During COVID era many people already living with financial pressures worse due to coronavirus pandemic have been pushed over the brink into homelessness and are finding themselves sleeping on the streets, hunkered down in sheds and garages, stuck in unsuitable accommodation that force government to do action on homeless people.

People become homeless for lots of different reasons and problems. There are social causes of homelessness, such as a lack of affordable housing, poverty and unemployment; and life events which push people into homelessness. Many people become homeless because they can no longer afford the rents, life events like a relationship breaking down, losing a job, mental or physical health problems, or substance misuse put people under considerable strain. Being homeless can make many of these problems even harder to resolve most of the cases homelessness is preventable and it can be ended.

Most of people are painters, carpenters, labor work in building construction, school, city mall, wedding waiters and some of the people work as watchman of multinational companies, housing, city mall and many more places.

To access food, ration through the public distribution system (PDS). Only 18% homeless people could avail of ration through PDS benefits and for them, especially the women and children, there exists a barrier in securing a healthy and nutritional diet. They can avail grains at low cost such as: 2rs for 1kg rice, 3rs for wheat, 1rs for bajra and food distribution to children through mid day meal where school child can get khichdi, roti, dal, fruits and time table changes everyday with meal. “I have only been eating khichdi since the lockdown began because that is all I get in my food kit”. said by people living in streets. provision of nutritional cooked food, provision of PDS, with dry ration, circulars for clarity on sanitation facilities, Provision of water, basic services, Specific focus on homeless families and women. These could be the focus for government of India.

Distribution of food to poor people.

Solution for country to make progress to combat homelessness and poverty in India. Each day, 44 people come out of poverty through the work of government initiatives. The Indian government has implemented initiatives to help the poverty-induced with housing. The most prominent yojana’s are Pradhan Mantri Awa’s Yojana, Digital Grameen Seva, Roshini skill development scheme for tribals, Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) that were declared by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. These effect can deescalate by government of India and NGO’s only who worked at large scale.
